about

Lyrics written while touring through Kiwirrkurra Community. Momma earth is mourning the fact that fracking is coming to the canning basin to destroy her. It is a song about the potentially devastating consequences, the aftermath of our children’s heritage cleaning up the mess of this careless deed by huge mining companies.

lyrics

Baby, don’t cry for momma, don’t cry for me,
They are coming with their money & their greed.

Gonna drill holes in me baby, gonna suck the life outta me,
Crushin and a-grindin’ and poisinin’.

Fixin’ what’s left offa me baby, fixin’
Your children’s children, will be their heritage.
